L R Engineering offers a full range of steel fabrications, including structural and architectural steelwork.
Although the main material we use is mild steel, our expertise also extends to aluminium and stainless steel.
Need something that is partly or wholly made from another material? We have also worked in rubber, polyurethane, polyethylene, nylon, brass, and many more.

One-off bespoke items and mass production
We can produce your requirements in the actual quantity you need; whether this is a one-off bespoke item, or a mass production run of thousands. Our very experienced team can assist you with the design, making this sometimes complex task a lot easier.
On-site installation work
We are often asked to install the product for the customer, creating an all-round service. The same engineers that built the product are likely to carry out the installation; we do not sub-contract this, ensuring continued quality throughout.
Our teams always maintain a high degree of flexibility and awareness, particular attention is paid to Health and Safety making sure to operate within the latest legislation and your project guidelines.
Health and Safety with Risk Analysis can be carried out for the installation.
Our multi skilled team include qualified First Aiders, Powered Access Licence (PAL) holders, and fork truck licence holders.
Mechanical Installation (including air/water pipe work)
We are also experienced in mechanical installations. These are often required when we are carrying out a project that involves structural steelwork, machine guarding, barriers etc. In fact, a large proportion of our work is carried out on a ‘supply and fit’ basis.
Air and water pipe work installation is another area we cover, often to complement our fabrication of an item, but also as a stand-alone requirement.
Our fully equipped paint spraying facility can give an excellent painted finish to your product(s). We also have business associates that can provide other finishes such as galvanizing, zinc plating, powder coating, shot blasting etc
Whether it is with our own company vehicles or a courier, we can quote for delivery of your product(s) anywhere within the UK.
With over 7700 quotes in the last 12 years, most of these for completely different jobs, we are as much an expert in coming up with solutions for you as we are implementing those solutions.
We provide a no obligation quotation service free of charge. This can be carried out at the customer’s premises or at our offices, just let us know where and when. We can also quote based on your information that can be faxed or e-mailed to us. We can read electronic drawing file formats (DXF PDF DWG), or paper drawings, as well as many other electronic formats.
We will also quote from sketches, samples or in the absence of any of the above, can arrange for a competent person to visit and undertake a survey.

In recent years, bringing AutoCAD into our business has been necessary to maintain a competitive edge. We are able to produce basic AutoCAD drawings for our customers and our own engineers to work from, and can more importantly receive and read CAD drawing files.
BOSCH REXROTH GUARDING INSTALLATIONS
We are also trained and approved installers of the very popular Bosch Rexroth Ecosafe Protective Fence System. In our experience as installers of this system we believe it to be the best of its type on the market. It is of a high quality, as well as being cost effective and quick to install.
